hi. sorry to hear that you are going through this harrassment.
i would recommend the following strategy:
1. file a case of harrassment with the state DOL / agency.
2. contact an immig attorney and have them 'on your side'
3. contact the IRS via registered mail and document your case, with FACTS, not OPINIONS or EMOTIONS. send a copy of the IRS letter to the State DOL.
4. further, file a complaint with the DOJ (if applicable). check out their Website.
5. finally, send a 30 day demand note (if applicable in your state) stating YOUR demands against the former employer, asking for immediate cessation of all activities which can be considered as coercive, amounting to emotional stress and harrassment. if possible, get a Doctor's medical advice and keep that on record.
6. eventually, think about getting a lawyer to do this case 'pro bono' . some might do if you can get good local press about thsi case and effectively 'market the lawyers costlessly'. of course, all privacy goes out of the window.

I understand your mental condition because my Labor was also traded in market during 2004... Dont take any impulsive step by reading forums ! Make sure you 've correct docs and stuffs before letting employer know that you sued them. Remember they can revoke H1B anytime showing completely different reasons.
Also remember you have to pay for your lawyer - this is not going to be a 'class action' or any 'criminal trial' that you be will assisted with lawyer.
I'm not discouragaing you to complain against wrong-doers but be ready before cracking down on them.

It's 180-days validity. Good for those with H1 or L1 but not for others, who doesn't wish to apply I-140 without their PD being current.

If you think that I have to give you a daily update in writing on what I am doing everyday to support IV, you are up for a surprise because that isn't happening. Before you criticize others, at least think.
By the way, you don't own IV or this forum so please don't act like everyone needs your permission before posting anything on this forum.

I am working in tech field doing techie stuff (like System.out.println ;)) I did PMP in Jan 2008.. so far i didnt get a chance to use my PM skills (thanks to USCIS for not giving me GC yet and limiting my ability to look for better job)
I havent done MBA so I did learn few (project) management lessons while preparing for PMP.. although I wouldnt say that real world project management generally follows what is published by PMI
For studying PMP, I would highly recommend reading PMP Prep book by Rita Mulcahy.. I never read PMBOK... Also, give few mock up exams (there are plenty available on net)...
I am preparing for CFA level 1.. and man PMP was much easier! (just comparing one certification to the other - one with 5 books to read and other with only 1 book!)

So my old company's lawyers got my Denial Notice today. USCIS is unbelievable in their incompetence. I got denied because apparently I filed when a visa date was not available. Why would i do such a stupid thing? Obviously the IO didnt take the time to do a little research to see why I filed when I did, nor did his Director who rubber-stamped the denial.
My I-485 was filed on August 2nd, 2007. The August 2007 visa bulletin released on July 12th, 2007 did indicate UNAVAILABLE (http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_3269.html). However, USCIS, amended that a few days later with an update allowing a month (through August 17, 2007) for all individuals who were current as of the July 2007 bulletin (including me) to file. See the attached link: http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/VisaBulletinUpdate17Jul07.pdf, USCIS issues an update allowing
It took me about 1.5 minutes on Google to locate the Update Memo. To think that an IO cannot locate this essential memo and would blatantly deny a valid application is beyond me. This is insane that an organization as important as the USCIS can be so inefficient.
I called their customer service number to see if i could resolve it in a simple manner. The jerk of an IO I spoke to said "you are not going to like what I am going to say, but you are currently out of status (since I am on EAD and AP) and will need to file an MTR. People may tell you to not pay the fee for the MTR, but I recommend you do, since that is the only way your case will be reviewed"

I know i would have lost my job if i made such a life-altering and blatant error!!

I am getting confused here about digital photo and USCIS not accepting them. I am assuming that "digital photo" just means pictures taken from a digital camera and printed out, which is what most of the studios do anyways, so why would USCIS have any problem with it. Is there a difference in pictures taken from a digital camera vs poloroid camera? If anything, digital camera most likey will have far better picture quality than poloroid camera so what's the deal with "digital photo" being unacceptable. Or do you guys mean a photo on a floppy of something when you say digital photo.

I got LUDs on 2/10 on both mine and my wife's 485. My wife got an RFE email on 02/13. I do not know what this means either...
Looks like lot of EB-3 applications who filed 485 at the end of june got LUDs last week, some with RFE and some just soft LUD.
