I dont understand why we are hurt when 2 Indian companies were asked to detail how they used the nearly 20000 H1B visas they procured this time. DAMNN!!! IT IS VERY VERY IMP TO KNOW THAT. How many of these H1s are going to be brought here and sold to other companies, how much and WHO pays them etc.
We are hurt because it's witch hunting. Nobody knows who applied for how many visas this year, but rumor has it that Microsoft was also near the top. Why not call them also?
Do you realize how many biotech companies couldn't hire people this time just because these monsters gobbled up all the H1s:mad: :mad:
That just means these "monsters" are more desperate to hire talented people than the companies you are talking about. Rationing is not an answer here. This is not a communist country. More supply is the answer.
H1 is tailormade to boost the american economy and I firmly believe (just as any other country would wisely do) that the first preferance should be for US companies, OK.
What is a US company? Infosys is listed here. Americans own stocks in most public companies around the world. US has no laws that discriminate against foreign companies. That's why US economy is still rated the most competitive in the world. You want to be more restrictive... What next? Get rid of inter state commerce laws?

Yeah that sucks. I have a 2004 PD as well but was lucky to get out of PBEC in Jan 2007 and was able to apply for 485 in July.
I feel for people like you who have older PDs (2001 to 2004) and missed the July-Aug window.
It is unfair that some people with recent PDs (even 2007 PDs) got to apply for 485.
Hope something works out for all old timers.
Same situation here too. My husband came to this country in 1999. Filed for greencard in 2004. Labor was sent to philly BEC and it got cleared in September 2007 so we too missed the window too. Not sure what to do

Most of the EB2's are very happy with the bulletin (which they should be) but I also see most of them are non-donors (or the free riders).

Agreed that I haven't contributed (yet) but that's a mighty big acquisition from your end on calling all of us EB2's free riders without any considerable data to prove it.
I think it's within our best interests to remain united until things are straightened up but I sure can understand your bitterness and hope the best for you too.

If you can get employer verification letter stating that the position is still available for you and your salary, then file I485 yourself.

I guess most of the folks here are busy preparing to apply for 485. I have different problem here.
My employer's attorney is charging me outrageous fees of around $5000 to
apply for 485, AP and EAD for me and my spouse. This excludes USCIS fees. I work on hourly basis, so I should be taking care of immigration fees. My employer is not allowing me to file through another law firm.
Do I have any other options. How much do they charge usually.

Regardless of the incorrect forum to tell about yourself, your story has serious flaws.
you are just telling us your side of a photoshopped story.
Even after you are here illegally, you can correct things and take a legal turn. there are so many cases where people who have overstayed or crossed over illegally, got themselves deported and or brought themselves out of the closet and applied and got their citizenships.
Also, bcos you spent 30 years in the country, you should be given a priority over a kid from your country who kept applying for a green card lottery every year, trying to enter the US legally?
to make matters worse, you stayed illegally in a country and did not follow the rule of law.
1. I am beyond the �waiting for my delayed Green-Card� and �attempting to correct my ilegal status� stage. I am not new to immigration, I�m true to immigration.
2. I am no longer fighting for my rights. I�m OK. I�m in my own country with all rights available to me and am offered a Waiver by the U.S. to visit my friends, family and loved ones when I want. Today I�m fighting for my USC Immediate Relatives� rights from my country. How many of you high&mighty can say that? Probably never will too. You�d have to walk in my shoes and from my view none of you except for 24ps can fit them, though sledge_hammer might have to learn how to walk in them. He/she sounds a lot like me in my smug and cocky drug peddling and trafficking days. Clue, sledge_hammer: The key to expertise does not lie in what you do but in how you do it. Thanks for continous feedback ,I have question i'm planning to use ac21 ,but my current labor certification jon title code is 15-1031 (computer sepcialist engineer -Oracle) but my new job is DBA (application development -Oracle ) But the nature of the job responsibilites are same but i believe the Job code may change b'cos of the Title.
Do you think will this be a problem if i use AC21.
Your inputs will be greatly appreciated.

ramus, i dont think local office will issue AP unless its an emergency. I am saying this bcoz i was in the local office today and they made it clear unless its absolute emergency AP will be issued only by NSC. In case of emergecy you need to show a valid proof that someone in your family is seriously sick.

Being a big company they may have their own IT dept. If we can find out if they either outsource their IT dept or hire H1-bs than he may not have much to argue..my 2cents.

What do you say to people who have been waiting from 2002 and 2003 and 2004, as of today there is no difference for person who got labor approved in May 2007 and case with priority date May 2003. For lot of them it has been a frustrating and stressful period, mainly because their spouses have been idle.
How on earth can you come with this idea, see the traffic on this site now, when core IV team was fighting for the retrogression and other benefits for our cause, there were very few. The world is selfish buddy. I wish you good luck on this idea.

I am very surprised about the requests for cheap photos !!! What a pity.
We were ready to spend thousands of dollars just a month ago just to have the ability to apply for I485, but when you get a chance , try to save a few dollars and risk an RFE , delay in processing or even denial.
Walmart photos suck , so are CVS photos. I had them take my pictures in the past. Never used the walmart ones and CVS photos got rejected for visa revalidation. They used Polaroid camera at walmat and they were not good at all.
I took them at Macy's studio , costed me about $30 for 6 copies but they are great. Please choose a professional studio, $20 extra dollars are worth every penny.
Some one mentioned about saving $20 and have a dinner. I would rather have peace of mind knowing my pictures are good enough for USCIS than have a $20 dinner.
Just my 2 cents though. May be I am extra cautious because I got burned once :)
The issue for me is I have pictures from Picture People (a studio-upwards of $80) and a set of my Own. My own look better and are as per specs, but even then its just the thought of who do I blame when the pics get rejected. :-) so i am cool with the decision that the studio photos even though not perfect will be submitted as I can frickin blame someone in case of RFE.

As a PMP who works in a large corporation let me give you another side of the story.
1. PMP certification can get you a PM job and boost your earnings but if you hate having to deal with lots of people PM job is not for you.
2. PMP is for large projects in large corporations. If you like working in fast paced tech companies stay away from PMP. Basically PMP is meant to manage all the fluff that exists in large corporations.
3. Also, be ready for insults from technical staff. They treat PM's like idiots and quite frankly a lot of PM's are merely schedule jockeys. Very few PM's are true to their profession.
4. Bottomline: $500 is worth the investment. Do not shy away from it if you like PM kind of work.

In the previous month, EB3-INDIA date was April22nd,2001. Now it moved to May8th2001. Now, the people with PD's from April22rd2001 to May7th2001 are eligible to apply or ready for adjudication of 485. That means, probably, there are lot of 485(245i) cases to be adjudicated? What do you all think?
