I have my own labor approved with a PD of 2004 and 140 pending. Thanks for the suggestion.
You know what some desi companies are sending emails too , saying they have pre approved labors....
It is totally unfair for the people whose applications are pending in BECS since 1999.

Before we ask Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren for any further help/support, don't you guys think it will be appropriate to first thank her in some kind of noble way? Any ideas?
I personally think (at least to begin with) a letter expressing gratitude for and our faith in her efforts would be a nice gesture.:)
Do we know for sure that this letter is in fact real? I mean yes it's on one website that has a link to a PDF document, but surely we can get it verified from another source (and I don't mean another immigration website forum) before we start sending her thanks and flowers.

Income from investment activities is okay on any visa status as long as appropriate taxes are paid.
If one has rental income, interest income and captial gains from the stock market while on H1-B, does it affect if the person transfers status to H4. Is income from above sources for a H4 person ok ?

We'll believe what we want to believe. Since the grand goal for many of us here is to get an EAD for dear spouse, here's some contextual Balzac: "There are no small matters for the heart. I live in Illinois and have to renew my passport at Chicago consulate. My original passport was issued for 5 years only so as per the website, I need to file for "Renewal of short validity passport".

I don�t know what is so hard about this deadlock. Don�t they know that if:
1. Illegals are given temporary visas for them to return after a number of years, no-body would come forward. The illegals would see this as shooting themselves in the foot. They would prefer to remain in the dark and live here permanently. Purpose defeated.
2. A tough enforcement only bill is passed, with the hope that there would be attrition after a while: How long would it take for all 12 million illegals to finally leave? 1 million per year? 500K per year? 24 years? Yeah right! Ok assuming they leave at a rate of 500K per year (which I know wouldn�t happen) what would be the rate of inflow of more illegals?? What would be the balance of illegals after say 10 years? Think about it.
3. Give them a path to citizenship. Well they are here anyways but this idea might jeopardize the bill.
So my proposal is: Since �a path to citizenship� is the major road block to this bill, make a law that gives the Illegals an opportunity for GC but include in the law that �Anybody that ever comes into the country illegally CAN NOT become a citizen�. i.e they can get a green card but they can never be eligible for citizenship. I am sure this is a reasonable middle ground�. a path to PR but not citizenship. I am sure those illegals don�t care about citizenship anyways. They just want to be free and be mobile.
Just my thots.

Yes, the majority of approvals are from 2005. There's even one with a June 2005 PD. I can't understand why it has slowed down though.

When I called last week, they wanted me to call back after 30 days, so I called today, it got escalated, the first lady was rude and bluntly said you have to 45 days for reciept and then 90 days after that for EAD so, it could take 4.5 months for renewal.
I called back and it got escalated to a different officer this time, the lady was helpful and mentioned that there are too many delays at Nebraska that are related to EAD, however she took my telephone #, address, A# checked my file and said it is not in the system yet,
she passed a message to the mail room to contact me regd the filing, she told they might get back in 30 days with information.

If you think any fraud is going on or there is a law being misused you must complain to USCIS and Ombudsman. Unless it is reported nobody in a position of power will know about it and nothing will be done to stop it.
And this should be done sooner than later. If we keep quiet about this like everyone did for labor substitution, we are the only ones who are going to suffer. I came here in 1998 and did my MS and have been working like dog all these years. Have faced layoffs, exploiting by DCC, had to refile my GC and now these fake EB1 guys come along and get GC in 6 months.
Trust me, I will be reporting the company that I have heard of the case to ombudsman and USCIS. And I think everyone who has heard of this should verify and then report it also.
Lets start this campaign also because in the long run, it will benefit both EB2 and EB3.
And genuine EB1 guys dont have to worry about this because if they really do have extra-ordinary capabilities they should not have hard time proving it (so called Multinational executives)

Yeah, but the 5th item being demanded is the same as a free trip to the moon with out any flight training. when i was in michigan, i drove to indian consulate in chicago, they gave me PIO card for my daughter in half hour time. can you believe it? ofcourse paid extra fees for this. they talk polite too.
