They wont work on it, they just accept it. FIFO (First in- First out) Priority date is always going to be the order. So, Camarasa, your older priority date will be processed before EVERYBODY Else w/ latter Priority. Dont worry.

I beg to differ from your point of view that approvals are on PD. If you take a good look at the PDs of approved cases posted here, you will there are many post July 04 (mostly in Oct and Dec 04) and we all know there are many before that.
They are clearly going by ND. I have seen 1/2 case approved that had ND after 8/30/07
They dont prioritize inside the current time window. In otherwords, they dont necessarily go Jan, Feb, Mar etc. They just do it if its inside Jan 2005.

1) Fast-track GC process for Masters degree holders from US universities. This will be the least controversial, boost admissions (and money) flowing into universities, and clear up backlog in regular GC queue. Its a win-win and most senators, congressmen have voiced support for it already. We can get very good support from University lobbyists also (if they exist!!).
I fully agree with this idea, but unfortunately this has been discussed for a long time now but none (including IV CORE) seems to be interested in pursuing this further, although we all know that this has higher changes of approval. And I am sure even the folks with no MS from US will support if for simple reason that it will help them as well if backlog and crowed is reduced by whatever means. So I assume we all (US Degree Holder or otherwise) will support this -- still no actions..

I would but I am not sure my story is the most compelling since EB3 ROW is by far not as bad off as EB3I or EB3C.
Whoever goes would have to leave anger at home though, I dont think anger will help us get through to people, emotion yes though?
Maybe we can figure out whos story would make the biggest impact and who is good at speaking, some might not feel comfortable doing thsi?

1) Faith in IV -- Look at what they have done till now ( we all know about it )
2) Just too Lazy to contribute - Shame on you !! your Advance Degrees and High paying jobs your BMW or Audi are no use if you ask me ( junk)
3) too stingy to contribute-- Shame on you again 20$ you save now will result in 20k Loss in the future be prepared

Canadian_dream, i fully agree and i have no intention of saying someone else is not productive.
I choose to see things this way for me. I just started an active life style, not too long ago.
I think i was quite productive before taking up some exercise.
would you agree that making some active choices in life style are better, and will help improve productivity a bit...

i am totally frustrated in following all these stupid bills (along with illegals) and these dirty politics etc. I am more furious that we all are fighting only by ourselves and none of our employers are pitching in for the very reason we are all here. This said, we are wasting our time in following all these bills which has so many loop holes to get bogged down(especially for clauses pertaining to legal immigrants). Guys, this is personally for myself, i am not going to waste my time anymore on this crap. I am going to set myself, some fixed time that i will wait for the GC to come through. If not, i am going to pack up my bags. I am just speaking for myself, atleast that way i know that i am not waiting for some useless bills to pass through. Atleast i know my wait will end by that time. I am just speaking my mind over the way things are going and totally frustrated due to this freakin retrogression..

I agree too. Visa Re-capture is the only solution which is available at this time. Now we have actual data in hand. We need to build a strong case, for ex person with priority date of 2004 have x number of people ahead of him, based on the numbers available per year for EB3 (I) It will easily take more than 5 years, That means total time for GC process from start to finish is >10 years.
One has to work in similar position for 10 years.
We can brain storm points like this an d build a strong case for admin fix/ Visa re-capture...

Adding 20k visa would barely move EB3 I With all the labor subs that happened in 2007 there are many more people that have jumped the lines. All Spill over can do is barely move Eb3 from 2001 to early / mid 2002 that is all. So for folks post 2004 PD you are struck because by the time your PD gets spillover there will be EB2 I & C fighting for the same visa# that you need. So spill over helps a small section either Eb3 I with PD between 2001 - 2003 or EB2 with PD 2005 - CURRENT. For all others only real chance is recapture

It is the RD of the 485 application that dictates the order of processing the application. In addition, for the application to the processed the PD must be current. Once the PD is current, it is the RD that matters.

The above are my case updates. I just wanted to check one more thing. When i got my FP request the center on it was MSC. Has the same happened with anyone else.
The last LUD i had on my e-filed EAD was 6/5.

If it reverses then it will look really bad and it means that it has accepted the mistake ..somebody will get fire from USCIS or DOS

Why is there a group of people trying to portray "immigrants without GC buying a home and later letting it go to foreclosure due to job loss" as criminals ??? ( "extradited and put behind bars" , "must never come back to US" , etc etc) . US is a debt based economy and it relies on people spending money, hence bankruptcy is a perfectly legal procedure and your credit gets screwed , but that's it and the rule is the same for anyone, be GC holders, citizens, illegal immigrants, legal immigrants. Why discriminate against fellow immigrants ? only just because you can ? why not put the mortgage brokers who pushed inventive mortgages or the big bankers who got million dollar bonuses because their mortgage backed assets portfolio doubled to trillion dollars, behind bars ?
Give us a break. Buying a house or renting is a personal choice (I'm for buying if your rent is pretty close to the supposed mortgage payments) , and please let it be like that. Ya I know there might be peer pressure/family pressure , so what ? I also get asked sometimes when I go back to India as to why I don't have a GC yet, I just smile and say "I don't know and frankly I don't care" :)
